About Me

I’m a 35 year-old Nashville native who shares a home with one wife, two dogs and two cats. I live in Sylvan Park, and I work in the communications industry. I’m a philosopher, media junkie, sports fan and entertainment critic. I occasionally venture beyond the I-440 loop and even Middle Tennessee.

About thinktrain

This blog represents my own personal train of thought. This name was inspired in part because I have what I like to call my own personal train set right behind my house: a railroad (pictured above) passes just above and beyond my back yard.

My Timeline

Nashville skyline

I’m a Nashville native.

The original Saint Thomas Hospital

I was born on Friday, April 13, at the original Saint Thomas Hospital. It was located here until being replaced by the new hospital here in 1974. I like to think that my literal birthplace is a spot in mid-air somewhere around Church Street and 20th Avenue.

West End Church of Christ, Nashville

I went to kindergarten here. I went to elementary, middle and high school here (DLCS on Wikipedia).

Washington and Lee University

I went to college here.
